This page is part of our turnkey fire fighting projects range. A sprinkler can ruin a server room faster than a small fire would. An FM200 gas suppression system in Hyderabad puts the fire out with a gas that leaves the equipment dry and clean. It suits rooms where data, records or controls matter more than the room itself, and it can be used in rooms where people work.
How the system works
Smoke detectors in two zones sense a fire. When both zones trip, the release panel sounds a pre-discharge alarm and starts a short delay. Then the cylinders discharge the agent through nozzles in about ten seconds.
The gas fills the room at a set concentration and holds there for a set time. This stops the fire and leaves no residue. Staff can reset the room and the equipment after a short clean-up.
Why the room matters
A gas system only works if the room can hold the gas. Gaps around doors, cable openings and ducts let the agent leak out, so the fire may restart. We check the room, seal what is needed and fit dampers that close on alarm.
A room integrity test at handover shows how long the gas will hold. A pressure relief vent protects the walls from the sudden rise in pressure.
Where it is used
FM200 suits rooms with valuable equipment or records:
- Server and network rooms
- Control rooms and telecom exchanges
- Archives, libraries and record rooms
- Electrical rooms and UPS rooms
- Laboratories and clean rooms
Who we work for
Builders and architects of data rooms and control rooms can bring us in at the design stage, so walls, doors and dampers are built to hold the gas. MEP consultants can send the specification and we price against it. Corporates and hospital owners get one team across sites and wings. Industries get designs matched to their hazards. Defence establishments, including Indian Navy and Army sites, can ask for a plan and quote, subject to their security and vendor-registration rules. For upkeep after handover, see our fire safety AMC page.
FM200 systems across Hyderabad
Data rooms and network rooms in Gachibowli, Hitech City and the Financial District are the most common jobs. Banks and offices in Begumpet and Secunderabad protect record rooms and server rooms.
Hospitals in Banjara Hills protect IT and record rooms, and plants at Patancheru protect control rooms. The Telangana State Disaster Response & Fire Services Department inspects the finished work. Our Gachibowli team handles each job, and the Hyderabad office page lists our other services. Coastal sites can read our FM200 Gas Suppression System in Visakhapatnam page.

Standards and approvals
We design to NBC 2016 Part 4 and NFPA 2001 as the reference for clean agent systems. The fire department decides what each building needs, and Essatech does not issue or promise approval. Our fire NOC consultant page explains the usual steps. These rules hold for every FM200 gas suppression system in Hyderabad that we plan.
