Water damages servers faster than a small fire does, and an unplanned shutdown harms more than the fire itself. Good server room fire suppression in Hyderabad starts well before any gas is released. It begins with detection that notices an overheating cable, and it ends with a room that holds the agent long enough to finish the job.
Most failures are not cylinder faults. They come from a leaky room, a missing damper or a detector placed where airflow never reaches.
Detect the fire before it is a fire
Aspirating smoke detection draws air through small pipe holes to a sensitive detector, so it can raise an alert while the smoke is still thin. Staff get time to isolate the fault.
For release, we use two zones. One alarm starts the warning. Release needs a second, separate detector to confirm, which keeps a dust or a single faulty sensor from emptying the cylinders. Detection ties into your addressable fire alarm so the building also knows what is happening.
Choose the agent for the room
Three gas families suit IT spaces, and the choice follows the room. Our clean agent page covers the family in detail. For server room fire suppression in Hyderabad we compare FM200, Novec 1230 and inert gas on your room.
| Agent | Storage | Discharge | Best fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| FM200 (HFC-227ea) | Liquefied gas, compact cylinders | About 10 seconds | Server rooms and control rooms |
| FK-5-1-12 (sold as Novec 1230) | Liquid that turns to gas | About 10 seconds | Rooms where low global warming potential matters |
| Inert gas (IG-541, IG-55) | High-pressure cylinders | About 60 to 120 seconds | Large halls with space for more cylinders |
Protect the voids as well as the room
A fire often starts under the raised floor, where power and data cables run together. It can also start above the false ceiling. If the nozzles only serve the main space, the agent concentration in those voids may fall short.
We treat the floor void, the room and the ceiling void as one enclosure or as separate zones, depending on the build. Each volume gets its own nozzles and its own calculation.
Shut down air and seal the room
Precision air conditioning keeps pushing air through the room while gas is released. On alarm, the system stops the fans and closes dampers on every duct that enters the room. Without this, the agent leaves through the ducts.
A gas system only works if the room holds it. We seal cable entries, gaps around pipes and door edges, and fit a pressure relief vent where the walls are light. A door fan test then measures how long the agent stays in the room. Repeat it whenever the room changes.
Controls people can rely on
Inside the room, hooters and strobes give a pre-discharge warning, and a short delay lets people leave. An abort switch holds the release during a false alarm, and a manual release works if detection fails. A warning sign outside the door shows when gas has been released.
Where the site uses an emergency power-off, the suppression panel interlocks with it so equipment shuts down before discharge. A lock-off switch keeps the system safe while engineers work inside. Linked fire CCTV integration lets your control desk see the room during an alarm.
Keeping systems in service
Audits ask for written evidence of agent checks, panel tests and room seals. Our fire safety AMC and suppression AMC schedule these visits and give you a report after each one.
Server room protection across Hyderabad
Server room fire suppression in Hyderabad is mostly needed in the technology corridor. Gachibowli, Hitech City and Madhapur hold many office floors with their own server rooms. The Financial District and Nanakramguda have larger data halls and shared network rooms, and Kokapet is adding new campuses.
Our Hyderabad office team is in Gachibowli, so a survey visit to these areas is short. We explain the design on site with your facilities and IT teams.

Standards and approvals
Every server room fire suppression in Hyderabad design we make follows NFPA 2001 and ISO 14520, with NBC 2016 Part 4 as the building reference and NFPA 72 for detection. The Telangana State Disaster Response & Fire Services Department issues the NOC and inspects the finished work. Essatech prepares the drawings and records it asks for, and does not issue or promise approval.
