This page is part of our CCTV surveillance systems range. Large campuses in Hyderabad can take a guard several minutes to reach an alarm point. Most of the time it is a false alarm from dust, a kitchen or a careless worker. Fire and CCTV integration in Hyderabad lets the control room look before anyone runs, without stopping the evacuation. It builds on a sound fire alarm system and a well-planned CCTV security system.
What happens during an alarm
Before handover we pair each detector, call point or zone with the cameras that watch it. When one trips, the panel signals the video system. The monitor in the control room then shows those cameras full screen, and the recorder tags the clip.
Other actions can follow the same signal. Doors controlled by access control systems release on escape routes. Cameras near the alarm can switch to their highest quality setting.
None of this replaces the alarm itself. Hooters, strobes and the evacuation plan carry on exactly as normal.
Three ways to connect the systems
The method depends on the fire panel, the video software and how much detail you want. We read both makers' datasheets before promising anything.
- Connection
- Dry relay contacts
- What it passes
- Alarm or no alarm per input
- Good for
- Conventional panels and smaller recorders
- Connection
- Network interface
- What it passes
- Exact device and event details
- Good for
- Addressable panels with video management software

- Alarm events shared through the BMS

- Campuses, hospitals and malls with a BMS
Checking that brands work together
Relay links work with almost any panel and recorder, since they only need a spare relay and a free alarm input. The trade-off is that one input usually covers a whole zone.
Network links can name the exact detector on screen. They need a protocol or driver that both makers support, and sometimes a gateway box or a software licence. We list every licence and interface on the quote, and we say plainly if a link cannot be confirmed.
Why control rooms want it
Speed is the main reason. A guard sees the scene in seconds and can call 101 for a real fire or report a false alarm while the procedure continues. Fewer people are sent running into an unknown situation.
The tagged footage helps afterwards. It shows where a fire started and how people moved, which helps with insurance, staff training and fixing repeat false alarms. In dark plant rooms and yards, thermal cameras add a heat view that ordinary cameras cannot give.
Testing and upkeep
At commissioning we trip each linked point, confirm the right camera appears and check the clip is tagged. You receive a sheet listing every alarm point and its camera.
Links break quietly when someone renames a camera or adds a panel zone. That is why both systems should be tested together on each visit. Our fire safety AMC and CCTV AMC and repair visits can run on the same day.
Integrated systems across Hyderabad
Corporate campuses in Gachibowli, Hitech City and the Financial District often run one control room for several towers. For them, a camera that pops up on alarm saves long walks between buildings.
Hospitals in Secunderabad, Begumpet and Banjara Hills need to check an alarm without moving patients too early. Factories in Patancheru and Jeedimetla use it to watch hot process areas at night.
Our Gachibowli team handles fire and CCTV integration in Hyderabad, and the Hyderabad office page lists our other services. For coastal sites, see fire and CCTV integration in Visakhapatnam.

Standards and approvals
The fire alarm must keep working on its own if the CCTV link fails, in line with NBC 2016 Part 4 and IS 2189. Door release must follow exit rules. Only the Telangana State Disaster Response & Fire Services Department issues the fire NOC, and integration never replaces a required fire system.
