This page is part of our turnkey fire fighting projects range. Electrical panels are a common source of fire. A loose joint overheats, and the fire sits inside a metal box that a room sprinkler cannot reach. Electrical panel fire suppression in Hyderabad puts the protection inside the box. It reacts at the point of heat, needs no power and does not flood the panel with water.
How the system works
A cylinder of extinguishing agent sits beside or inside the cabinet. A thin pressurised tube runs through the panel near busbars and joints. When heat softens the tube at one spot, it bursts and the pressure drops.
The drop opens the cylinder valve, and the agent flows through the tube into the cabinet. Nothing needs electricity, a detector or a control panel, so the system works even when the supply has failed.
Where it is used
Electrical panel fire suppression in Hyderabad suits enclosed electrical and mechanical equipment:
- LT and HT switchgear panels
- Motor control centres and drive panels
- UPS and battery cabinets
- Transformer and ring main cubicles
- CNC machines and other machinery enclosures
Choosing the agent and the cabinet
Clean agents leave no residue and suit sensitive electronics. CO2 suits sealed enclosures that no one enters. The choice depends on the cabinet volume, how well it is sealed and what it contains.
We measure each cabinet and check gaps and vents. A cabinet that leaks too much needs sealing before the agent can hold, and we say so before we quote.
Who we work for
Builders and architects of data rooms, substations and plants can bring us in early, so panel layouts leave room for the tube and cylinder. MEP consultants can send the specification and we price against it. Corporates and hospital owners get one team across sites and wings. Industries get designs matched to their hazards. Defence establishments, including Indian Navy and Army sites, can ask for a plan and quote, subject to their security and vendor-registration rules. For upkeep after handover, see our fire safety AMC page.
Panel protection across Hyderabad
Data centres and towers in Gachibowli, Hitech City and the Financial District protect UPS and distribution panels. Factories at Patancheru, Jeedimetla and Bachupally protect motor control centres and process drives.
Hospitals in Banjara Hills and Secunderabad protect main distribution boards that must keep running. The Telangana State Disaster Response & Fire Services Department inspects the finished work. Our Gachibowli team handles each job, and the Hyderabad office page lists our other services. Coastal sites can read our Electrical Panel Fire Suppression in Visakhapatnam page.

Standards and approvals
We design to NBC 2016 Part 4 and the maker's design rules and relevant IS and NFPA guidance. The fire department decides what each building needs, and Essatech does not issue or promise approval. Our fire NOC consultant page explains the usual steps. These rules hold for every electrical panel fire suppression job we do in Hyderabad.
