This page is part of our turnkey fire fighting projects range. Port offices, shipping lines and industrial control rooms hold records and equipment that cannot be replaced quickly. Water damage in such a room costs more than the fire. An FM200 gas suppression system in Visakhapatnam stops the fire and leaves the room dry, so work can restart soon after.
Detection, alarm and discharge
Two sets of smoke detectors watch the room. If both trip, a pre-discharge alarm sounds and a delay begins. If nobody aborts, the cylinders discharge and the gas fills the room within about ten seconds.
Manual release and abort buttons sit at the door. Staff are trained to use them, and the system records each event.
Sealed rooms and salt air
A room that leaks cannot hold gas. We seal cable openings and duct crossings, fit door seals and add dampers that close on alarm. A hold test at handover proves the result.
Near the coast, damp and salt reach cylinders, brackets and nozzles. We use protective coatings and check fixings at each service visit.
What the gas can and cannot do
FM200 puts out fires in electrical equipment, paper and plastics by cooling and interrupting the flame. It does not suit certain reactive materials, which we flag at the survey.
It protects the room but cannot make up for faulty wiring. A suppression system works well with a good fire alarm system and regular maintenance.
Who we serve
Builders and architects of control rooms and offices can involve us early, so walls, doors and dampers are built to hold the gas. Consultants can send us the specification, and we return a matching price. Corporate campuses and hospitals get one team across blocks. Industrial clients get designs matched to their hazards. Indian Navy and Army establishments, along with other defence sites, can request a plan and quote under their own security and vendor-registration rules. For upkeep after handover, see our fire safety AMC page.
FM200 systems across Visakhapatnam
Control rooms and offices at Gajuwaka, Autonagar and Parawada are common sites. Banks and corporate offices in Dwaraka Nagar, MVP Colony and Siripuram protect server and record rooms.
Hotels and hospitals in the city protect IT rooms and archives. The Andhra Pradesh Fire Services Department inspects the finished work. Our Suryabagh head office handles each job, and the Visakhapatnam office page lists our other work. Inland sites can read our FM200 Gas Suppression System in Hyderabad page.

Standards and approvals
Designs follow NBC 2016 Part 4 and NFPA 2001 as the reference for clean agent systems. Approval rests with the Andhra Pradesh Fire Services Department, and Essatech neither issues nor promises it. The fire NOC consultant page sets out the order of work. We apply the same terms to each FM200 gas suppression system in Visakhapatnam we install.
