This page is part of our turnkey fire fighting projects range. Some fires cannot be fought with water: oil, electrical gear and large machines. A CO2 flooding system in Hyderabad uses gas to put them out, with no residue on the equipment. The gas is dangerous to people, so the design must include alarms, delays and safe routes out.
How total flooding works
Detectors sense a fire and signal the release panel. A siren and a flashing light warn anyone inside, and a delay gives them time to leave. Then the cylinders discharge, and carbon dioxide displaces the air.
The oxygen level falls below what the fire needs, and the fire goes out. The room is ventilated before anyone returns.
Safety comes first
Carbon dioxide at fire-fighting concentration is dangerous to life. Every system we fit has a pre-discharge alarm, a time delay, warning signs at each door, a manual lock-off valve for maintenance and a way to ventilate the room afterwards.
In rooms where people work, we suggest a clean agent instead. We say so plainly before we quote.
Where it is used
CO2 suits unoccupied rooms and large machines:
- Generator and engine rooms
- Turbine halls and compressor rooms
- Paint booths and spray rooms
- Cable galleries and switch rooms
- Printing presses and large machinery
Who we work for
Builders and architects of plants and towers can involve us early, so generator and plant rooms are planned with sealed walls and safe exits. MEP consultants can send the specification and we price against it. Corporates and hospital owners get one team across sites and wings. Industries get designs matched to their hazards. Defence establishments, including Indian Navy and Army sites, can ask for a plan and quote, subject to their security and vendor-registration rules. For upkeep after handover, see our fire safety AMC page.
CO2 systems across Hyderabad
Generator rooms in towers at Gachibowli, Hitech City and Kokapet use CO2 where no one works. Paint and finishing shops at Jeedimetla and Patancheru protect booths and ovens.
Power and process plants at Bachupally protect turbine halls and cable galleries. The Telangana State Disaster Response & Fire Services Department inspects the finished work. Our Gachibowli team handles each job, and the Hyderabad office page lists our other services. Coastal sites can read our CO2 Flooding System in Visakhapatnam page.

Standards and approvals
We design to NBC 2016 Part 4 and NFPA 12 as the reference for carbon dioxide systems. The fire department decides what each building needs, and Essatech does not issue or promise approval. Our fire NOC consultant page explains the usual steps. These rules hold for each CO2 flooding system in Hyderabad that we plan.
How the work runs
- Send drawingsShare floor plans, site details and any room details and drawings already specified.
- Survey and designOur engineers visit the Hyderabad site, measure it and draft the design.
- QuoteYou get an itemised quote that lists each part and the site work.
- InstallationOur own team will install and connect everything, area by area.
- Test and hand overEvery part is tested with you present, and you receive drawings and records.
