This page is part of our turnkey fire fighting projects range. A sprinkler can flood a room to put out a small fire. A water mist system in Hyderabad uses a fraction of the water and still brings the heat down fast. It suits places where water damage is a worry, where pipe space is tight, or where a gas system would not hold in an open room.
How water mist works
Nozzles break the water into tiny droplets under high pressure. The droplets absorb heat quickly, and some turn to steam, which pushes back the oxygen around the flame.
A small pump set or a bank of cylinders supplies the water. Because so little water is used, pipes are thin, tanks are small and damage is low.
Where it is used
Water mist suits places where space is tight or water damage matters:
- Hotels, guest rooms and corridors
- Cable tunnels and cable basements
- Turbine rooms and engine enclosures
- Heritage buildings and museums
- Ships and offshore-style spaces
Choosing the right design
Water mist designs are proved by fire tests for set hazards and room sizes. A design must match the hazard it was tested for, so we pick a listed design and apply it within its limits.
We tell you when water mist is a poor fit. Some hazards, such as large fuel pools, need foam, and some rooms are better served by a clean agent.
Who we work for
Builders and architects of hotels and heritage spaces can bring us in early, so mist nozzles and thin pipes are planned with ceilings and finishes. MEP consultants can send the specification and we price against it. Corporates and hospital owners get one team across sites and wings. Industries get designs matched to their hazards. Defence establishments, including Indian Navy and Army sites, can ask for a plan and quote, subject to their security and vendor-registration rules. For upkeep after handover, see our fire safety AMC page.
Water mist across Hyderabad
Hotels in Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills and Hitech City use mist to protect rooms and corridors without large risers. Cable basements in Gachibowli towers use mist to protect trays.
Power and process plants at Patancheru and Bachupally protect turbine rooms and cable galleries. The Telangana State Disaster Response & Fire Services Department inspects the finished work. Our Gachibowli team handles each job, and the Hyderabad office page lists our other services. Coastal sites can read our Water Mist System in Visakhapatnam page.

Standards and approvals
We design to NBC 2016 Part 4 and NFPA 750 as the reference for water mist systems. The fire department decides what each building needs, and Essatech does not issue or promise approval. Our fire NOC consultant page explains the usual steps. These rules hold for each water mist system in Hyderabad that we plan.
