A fire pump sits idle for months, then has to start first time. A weak battery or a wrongly set pressure switch can fail the whole system. The pump set in a fire system
A typical set has an electric main pump, a diesel standby pump and a jockey pump. The jockey pump holds pressure against small leaks. When pressure drops further, the main pump starts, and the diesel pump takes over if power or the main pump fails.

Sizing the pumps
Pump size follows the flow and pressure the hydrants and sprinklers need at the furthest point. We calculate friction in the pipes and add the height of the building.
A pump chosen only by price may deliver too little at the top floor. We check the duty point on the pump curve, so that the set meets the demand with margin.
Pump room and installation
The pump room should sit near the tank, with the suction line short and flooded. We fit the base, align the pump and motor, connect valves and gauges and wire the controllers.
Diesel sets need fuel storage, exhaust routing and a charged battery. We also provide a test header and a flow meter, so that tests can be done later without opening the system.
