This page is part of our entrance automation solutions range. Opening every bag at a busy gate is slow and invasive. An X-ray baggage scanner in Hyderabad lets a trained operator check bags on a screen in seconds. The machine is only as good as its size, its image quality and the operator, so we help you choose and train your team.
How the scanner works
A bag rides on a conveyor through a lead-shielded tunnel, where low-dose X-rays pass through it. A detector builds an image that colours materials by density, so organic items, metals and dense objects look different.
The operator watches the screen and stops the belt to inspect suspect bags. Image storage lets you review a bag later.
Choosing the tunnel size
For an X-ray baggage scanner in Hyderabad, tunnel size sets the bags the machine can take. Small tunnels suit handbags and laptops at offices and hotels. Medium tunnels suit suitcases at malls and events. Large tunnels suit parcels and cargo.
A bigger tunnel costs more and needs more floor space, so we match it to what you screen. Our guide on tunnel size helps you decide.
Safety and rules
The tunnel is shielded and the dose to people and to bag contents is very low. Operators still need training, and the machine needs a safe layout.
X-ray equipment is subject to regulation, including registration with the atomic energy authority in India. We explain what applies to your machine and help with the paperwork.
Who we work for
Builders and architects should show the scanner position, queue space and power on the entrance drawing, so the machine fits without blocking the flow. MEP consultants can send the specification and we price against it. Corporates and hospital owners get one team across sites and wings. Industries get designs matched to their hazards. Defence establishments, including Indian Navy and Army sites, can ask for a plan and quote, subject to their security and vendor-registration rules. For upkeep after handover, see our access control systems page.
Baggage scanners across Hyderabad
Offices and hotels in Gachibowli, Hitech City and Banjara Hills use small-tunnel scanners at entrances. Malls and venues in Kukatpally and Secunderabad use medium tunnels at event gates.
Courts and industrial gates at Patancheru use scanners for visitors and parcels. Where this work ties into fire safety, the Telangana State Disaster Response & Fire Services Department sets the requirements. Our Gachibowli team handles each job, and the Hyderabad office page lists our other services. Coastal sites can read our X-Ray Baggage Scanner in Visakhapatnam page.

Standards and approvals
Gates, doors and screening points on escape routes must not trap people, so we keep manual release and fire links in place and fit safety sensors as standard. See our CCTV installation page for the cameras that record each entry. These terms apply to every X-ray baggage scanner job in Hyderabad that we take on.
