This page is part of our CCTV surveillance systems range. Shop owners and contractors in Vizag often call us with a model number and want to know if that camera will do the job. Sometimes it will. Often the camera is fine, but the lens is wrong for the distance, or it will stare into the evening sun. We are CCTV camera dealers in Visakhapatnam who ask where a camera is going before we sell it. If you want the whole system planned as well, our CCTV security system page explains how we design one.
Cameras we supply
We sell the camera types used on homes, shops, offices, hotels and plants. Each type does a different job, so the list below says where each one fits.
Most of our stock comes from makers such as Hikvision, CP Plus and Dahua. Models and prices change through the year, so we confirm what is available when you ask for a quote. We sell these brands as a supplier and installer, not as an authorised dealer.
- Dome cameras for ceilings, receptions, corridors and shop floors
- Bullet cameras for outside walls, gates and boundary lines
- PTZ cameras for large yards, car parks and port-side sites
- Thermal cameras for dark perimeters and hot plant areas
- Number plate (ANPR) cameras for vehicle gates
- Fisheye cameras for a full view of a room from one point
- IP cameras for networks and analogue HD cameras for coaxial cable
Megapixels and what they buy you
More megapixels give more detail, but only when the lens and the light are right. A 2 MP camera can show a face clearly across a small shop counter. A 4 MP or 5 MP camera covers a wider area with the same detail. An 8 MP camera, often sold as 4K, suits wide gates, halls and car parks.
Higher resolution also fills hard disks faster and needs more network capacity. We match megapixels to the job and to your recorder. That way you do not pay for detail the system cannot store.

Choosing the lens and field of view
The lens decides how far a camera sees and how wide. A short lens, such as 2.8 mm, gives a wide view of a room, but faces come out small. A longer lens, such as 6 mm or 8 mm, narrows the view and brings a door or gate closer. Varifocal cameras let the installer set the zoom on site, which helps when the distance is not known.
Tell us the distance from the camera to the spot you need to see. We pick the lens from that number, not from a picture in a catalogue. A camera that covers a whole car park rarely identifies anyone in it.
Light, glare and housing
Most cameras show colour by day and switch to black and white infrared at night. Colour night cameras use a soft white light or a very sensitive sensor. They help when you need the colour of a vehicle or a shirt.
Strong backlight, like a glass shopfront or a gate facing the road, needs a camera with wide dynamic range. Outdoor cameras should carry an IP66 or IP67 rating against dust and water. Where people can reach the camera, a vandal-resistant dome rated IK10 is the safer buy. Our outdoor security cameras page explains these housing choices in more detail.
Recorders, hard disks and storage
Every camera needs a recorder. An NVR records IP cameras over the network, and a DVR records analogue HD cameras over coaxial cable. We supply 4, 8, 16 and 32 channel recorders, and larger systems on request.
Use hard disks made for surveillance, because desktop disks wear out under round-the-clock recording. The days you can keep depend on camera count, resolution, frame rate and compression. Tell us how many days you need and we size the disks to suit. Past about 32 cameras, a video management server can be simpler than several recorders.
PTZ, thermal and number plate cameras
Some jobs need a specialist camera. A PTZ camera pans, tilts and zooms, so one unit can watch a large yard and zoom in on a truck at the far gate. It works well when a guard steers it or when it runs preset tours. Our PTZ cameras page covers sizes and zoom ranges.
Thermal cameras see heat, not light. They pick out people on a dark perimeter and see through light smoke, so they suit factories and storage yards. Number plate cameras need a fixed angle, a fast shutter and control of headlight glare. We advise on position before you buy, because a badly placed plate camera reads nothing.
Supply only or supply and install
You can buy from us in two ways. Supply only suits electrical contractors and integrators who have their own installers. Supply and install suits most homes, shops and offices, and our CCTV installation page describes how our engineers fit and hand over a system.
Warranty terms come from the maker and vary by product. We list the period for each item on the quote and help you raise a claim if a unit fails. For systems already in place, our CCTV AMC and repair service handles faults and yearly upkeep.

Who buys CCTV from us in Vizag
Shop owners around Jagadamba Junction, Dwaraka Nagar and Maharanipeta usually want four to eight cameras, a recorder and phone viewing. They ask most about counter views and clear night footage.
Hotels near Rushikonda and along Beach Road buy in larger lots for lobbies, corridors and car parks. They care how the cameras look on a finished ceiling. Contractors working in Gajuwaka, Autonagar and Pendurthi buy supply-only for factory and warehouse jobs, often outdoor bullets and PTZ units.
Sea air is hard on cheap housings and connectors. For sites near the coast we point buyers to sealed, outdoor-rated units with metal bodies. Our Suryabagh office handles all Vizag orders as CCTV camera dealers in Visakhapatnam, and the Visakhapatnam office page lists everything else we do in the city. Buyers in Hyderabad can use our CCTV cameras in Hyderabad page.

Standards and approvals
Many CCTV cameras and recorders sold in India must carry BIS registration under the Compulsory Registration Scheme. Ask for the registration number on any camera you buy. CCTV is not part of the fire NOC from the Andhra Pradesh Fire Services Department, though cameras can be linked to a fire alarm.
