This page is part of our entrance automation solutions range. A boom barrier stops a polite driver. A bollard stops a determined one. Automatic bollards in Hyderabad protect pedestrian streets, building fronts and sensitive sites, and they sink into the road when an authorised vehicle needs to pass.
How automatic bollards work
Each bollard sits in a pit below the road surface. A hydraulic or electric drive lifts it on a signal from a reader, a remote or a guard's control, and lowers it again when the vehicle has passed.
Lights and sensors warn drivers, and a loop detector keeps the bollard down while a vehicle is over it.
Light duty and crash rated
Light-duty bollards control traffic and stop casual entry. Crash-rated bollards are tested to stop a heavy vehicle at speed against standards such as IWA 14, and they need deeper foundations and cost far more.
We ask what threat you face, then recommend the right class. We do not sell crash ratings for sites that do not need them.
Groundwork and drainage
A pit needs depth, drainage and a clear route for cables and hydraulics. Poor drainage floods the pit and fails the unit. We survey the road, plan the foundation and agree road works with the owner before we quote.
Who we work for
Builders and architects should settle bollard positions and road levels with the site plan, because the pits are cut into the finished road. MEP consultants can send the specification and we price against it. Corporates and hospital owners get one team across sites and wings. Industries get designs matched to their hazards. Defence establishments, including Indian Navy and Army sites, can ask for a plan and quote, subject to their security and vendor-registration rules. For upkeep after handover, see our access control systems page.
Automatic bollards across Hyderabad
Corporate plazas in Gachibowli, Hitech City and the Financial District use bollards at building fronts. Pedestrian zones and markets in Secunderabad and Begumpet use them to limit vehicle access.
Secure sites in Patancheru use them at sensitive entry points. Where this work ties into fire safety, the Telangana State Disaster Response & Fire Services Department sets the requirements. Our Gachibowli team handles each job, and the Hyderabad office page lists our other services. Coastal sites can read our Automatic Bollards in Visakhapatnam page.

Standards and approvals
Doors, turnstiles and barriers on escape routes must release in a fire, so we link them to the fire alarm and keep manual release in place. Safety sensors and signs are fitted as standard. See our CCTV installation page for the cameras that record each entry. These terms apply to every automatic bollards job in Hyderabad that we take on.
