Strobe is also known as a strobe light or stroboscopic lamp. It is a device used to produce very short, intense flashes of light in rapid succession.

This light energy has in the region of 10-150 joules. For a continuous mode to produce extremely intense illumination larger strobe lights are used.

It is a scientific instrument that to catch the periodic movement of an object to make moving object to appear stationary.

It is often used for aircraft anti-collision lighting both on aircraft themselves and also on tall stationary objects, such as television and radio towers.

They are majorly used in law enforcement and other emergency vehicles. These are used by scuba divers as an emergency signaling device.
